First broadband app? Netscape on IRIX running on an SGI Indy in around 1995-1996. I spent literally a full day looking at pictures of old Lego sets on the Pause Magazine archive. Dialup web surfing could never be tolerated ever again: I was the first person signed up with cable connectivity on my block in 1998.
